By downloading, installing, or using the SFB Interactive Story Game mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

SFB is an AI-driven interactive noir detective story game that provides personalized narrative experiences. The App uses artificial intelligence to generate unique story content based on your choices and interactions.

2.1 AI-Generated Content

The App utilizes OpenAI's technology to generate story content, dialogue, and narrative elements. While we strive for quality and appropriateness, AI-generated content may occasionally be unpredictable. We reserve the right to moderate and filter content as needed.

2.2 Credit System

The App operates on a credit-based system where users purchase "Sanity Credits" to access AI-generated story content. Credits are consumed based on the actual computational cost of generating your personalized content, with transparent pricing displayed in the App.

3. User Accounts and Authentication

To use the App, you must create an account using Firebase Authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:

• Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use automated systems to interact with the App
• Share account credentials with others
• Attempt to exploit the credit system or engage in fraudulent activities
• Use the App to generate inappropriate, harmful, or offensive content

5. Purchases and Payments

5.1 In-App Purchases

The App offers in-app purchases of Sanity Credits through Apple's App Store. All purchases are processed by Apple and subject to Apple's Terms of Service.

5.2 Pricing and Billing

Credit prices are displayed in the App and may vary by region. Credits do not expire but are non-transferable and non-refundable except as required by applicable law.

5.3 Refunds

Refund requests for in-app purchases should be directed to Apple through the App Store. We may provide refunds for unused credits in cases of technical issues or service failures at our discretion.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Our Rights

The App, including its design, code, graphics, user interface, and original content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

6.2 AI-Generated Content

Story content generated during your gameplay sessions is created specifically for your experience. While we retain rights to the underlying technology and prompts, you may enjoy the personalized content for your entertainment.

7. Privacy and Data Collection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the App, you consent to our data practices as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

8.1 Service Availability

We strive to maintain continuous service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The App may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues.

8.2 AI Content Disclaimer

AI-generated content is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not responsible for the accuracy, appropriateness, or quality of AI-generated story elements, though we implement safeguards to maintain content standards.

8.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without cause or notice, for violations of these Terms or other reasons we deem appropriate. You may terminate your account at any time by deleting the App.

10. Updates and Changes

We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of significant changes through the App or other reasonable means.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of California.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
